Mechanical Service Technician

Trimark Mechanical Services is currently seeking a commercial HVAC Service Technician with the following job description.

Ability to:

• Properly document repair work, equipment information, start-up and special equipment needed.
• Read and understand electrical schematics
• Learn and become proficient in electronic information transfer such as through iPads
• Track refrigerant use per EPA requirements
• Create accurate material list and provide all information to assist in procuring material.
• Correctly diagnose HVAC equipment issues “fix it right the first time”.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Maintain vehicle and company property responsibly.
• Perform work in a timely fashion; production rate that is equivalent to or better than RS Means.
• Availability and willingness to run after hour calls and take “on call” duties through a technician rotation.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training, and Work Experience

• Graduation from high school, or the equivalent
• Ten (10) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain and excellent driving record.
• Must possess a Universal CFC card at time of appointment.

Physical Characteristics

• Strong Communication Skills
• Mobility sufficient to enter and exit confined spaces, climb and descend ladders in a safe manner,  walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Dexterity sufficient to operate manual and power tools, light and heavy duty equipment and other equipment utilized in the course of work
• Ability to lift and move heavy items weighing up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance;
• Endurance sufficient to maintain efficiency on the job and stand as necessary for extended periods of time.
